Mustang tank, Dished and ribbed, 3,1 gl
The Ribbed Laredo tank kicks the custom up a notch with a full length center rib, “dished” side cheeks and an offset Screw-In gas cap mount. Universal tab mounts and a shallow tunnel make for easy mounting on the frame tube. It’s not just the looks that are special here, but also that it has a capacity of about 3.1 gallons (11.7l), which is quite large for a chopper tank. The Laredo tank has three fuel taps: 3/8 NPT tap (center right) and two 1/4″ NPT taps on the left and right rear of the tank. When not in use, the ports are closed with a metal plug (e.g. part no. 14-0007).

The tunnel for the frame tube is 6.5 cm wide, slightly wider in the middle. Pressure test is highly recommended and often needed for technical inspection. Please adjust tank before painting, check for sufficient clearance on fork and handlebars.
Note: It is advised to pressure test, seal and test fit all tanks before tanks are painted and installed.
Some tanks are painted, but this coat is applied for rust prevention during storage only.
