Last weekend it was time for the third edition of HeyDay Motorcycle fair in my hometown Breda. An event organised on the local skatepark by a few skateboard/motorcycle fanatics.
The venue is perfect for an event like this. The indoor skatepark is transformed to a motorcycle show where local bike builders can show their latest creations. The outdoor terrain is used as an event terrain with merch boots, music, food, beers and a parking lot for al visitors that arrive on their own motorcycle.
This year there were a lot less shops that were selling their parts on the terrain. Perhaps it’s because the focus of the show is on cafe racer/scramblers. It shouldn’t be surprise that the best bikes present were not indoors at the shows but were standing outside.
Some cool choppers took their place outside the skatepark and got more attention than the indoor show. Maybe it also doesn’t help that you had to pay a fee of €5,- to see some cafe racers indoor whilst all the magic was happening outside. Maybe something to think about for next year. More choppers and no entry fee 🙂
