The Original Exhaust Insulating Wrap was developed back in 1986 by Thermo-Tec.
Exhaust Insulating Wrap is an innovative way to create more horsepower as wrapping headers with Exhaust Insulating Wrap maintains hotter exhaust gases that exit the system faster through decreased density.
This produces increased exhaust scavenging, as well as lower intake temperatures.
Exhaust Insulating Wrap withstands continuous heat up to 2000°F; it contains no asbestos. Thermo-Tec’s exhaust wrap will not over-insulate a system when properly installed, due to a proprietary coating, Thermal-Conduction-Technology (TCT), developed by Thermo-Tec, that conducts heat across the wrap’s surface. This unique coating controls heat built-up and dissipation.
Exhaust Insulating Wrap is sold in 50 feet (over 15 meter) rolls, 2″ wide. Exhaust Wrap has a low profile 1/16″ thickness. In order to make installation easier and neater, you can use Snap-Strap, stainless steel strapping material that has a low profile to fit in tight spots.
It can easily be cut to the required length and is secured with easy to use slide-through fasteners.
Snap-Strap is sold in kits containing 8 pieces of 9″ long and 20 clips.
