Progress on the hardtail
Made some progress on the hardtail project.
With the rear fender in place i started making a template for the oil tank.
Firts some templates in cardboard an then transfer them to 2mm sheet metal. The tank will be tappered so it will be as wide as the fender on the bottom and as wide as the seat on top.

My dad allready made the bungs on the lathe to hold the top plate so the tank can be mounted with some rubber grommets. The tabs that will be holding the grommets wil be made of some 6mm steel.
He is also still working on the bungs for the oil lines. In the mean time i can determine where the will fit the best.

With the rough cout-out of the taillight mount i decided to mock it al up again. Is this the look i want? Yes it is.

I Also started working on the battery box. Als made a cardboard template and than traced it to 2mm Sheet metal.
Borrowed the metal brake from my old man so i can bend it and weld the seams. Just a simple design that wil be painted black so it hides most of the battery.

After some finetuning the licensplate mount and the taillight are tagged in place.
Starting to look like a finished chopper.
